The Visual Concept

Through many conversations with Ryan about the best way to visually express the idea of The TBYL Show and what it represents, we landed on a powerful concept that fully encompasses the goals and values of the show, and what it’s all about. Executing the visuals meant answering the question: how can we visually represent the idea of coming out of the “darkness”, and into the “light”… or more accurately put, transforming from a place of being a victim of your circumstances and just “existing”, to taking full control of your life and your choices, and living with intention? With that core idea in mind, we landed on the light/shatter graphic concept, visually depicting bright blue rays of light exploding from darkness, shattering pieces of glass as if bursting through a closed window. The essence of this visual concept says so much, but the primary theme is freedom from limiting beliefs and profound knowledge of personal empowerment.

Logo Breakdown

  1. The TBYL in bold type, inside of a triangle shape gives the logo an emblematic “shield” type feel, reminiscent of a Superhero badge, supporting the concept of empowering others to be their own hero; their own advocate, and take back control of their lives.

  2. The upward angle of the triangle gives the logo movement and motion, symbolizing the progress one makes in their transformation journey.

  3. A modern, brush stroke typeface with lose, organic strokes add an interesting contrast to the hard, solid edges of the emblem, and supports the fun and approachable tone of The TBYL Show.

“Vanessa Colangelo from Life Well Branded, Co. is the only designer that has been able to bring our vision to life in way we didn't realize was possible. Not just a home run, a grand slam! Working with her was simple and her communication was great. She listened to our feedback and opened our eyes to new possibilities. The best part was how easy she made implementation for us. Providing branded templates and logo variations and Canva kits made implementation as simple as logging in. If you're looking for more than just a "logo" or "social media templates" and you want to create a brand that speaks your vision and your mission, connect with Life Well Branded.”
